Camp and Retreat E-News: Larry Haley Named Sawtooth Director

March 20, 2019

Larry Haley Named Sawtooth Director

It is my pleasure to announce that Larry Haley has been selected as the next director at Sawtooth Camp. Larry comes with experience in marketing, engineering and management, having worked for HP as well as various start-up companies.

While his work life may have been centered on technology, his personal life has included a lot of camping. This has included backpacking, the use of llamas for pack animals, and trailer camping.

Larry is an active member of the Fruitland UMC where he and his wife, Kay, have lived for the past three years. They were also members of Eagle UMC before a 7-year sojourn in Texas. Larry and Kay have two adult sons and one grandson.

Larry says, “I feel the opportunity to participate in the leadership of Sawtooth Camp is a blessing. Before seeing the notice of the need of a new director for Sawtooth Camp in November of last year, I couldn’t even imagine such an opportunity involving church and the outdoors – a perfect example of how God can manage beyond our knowledge and expectations. I pray that I can meet the expectations and needs of the camp team and that they will pray for me.”

You can extend a welcome to Larry by sending him an email at:
